Reuse options: Reusable paints and other items brought to the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off events are available to the public for free during reusable product days.
Yolo County Residents can drop off batteries, bulbs and latex paint daily. There is now a $2.00 handling fee but no disposal fees are charged. The resident can bring in one bulb or 50 bulbs and 3 cans of paint and it will still cost only $2.00. Yolo County BUSINESSES – The landfill accepts latex paint only everyday for $1.00 per quart, $3.00 per gallon and $9.00 per 5-gallon container. (Note: batteries and bulbs are NOT accepted from businesses daily; businesses will need to schedule an appointment for these through the CESQG program but do NOT need an EPA ID # for these items).
