General Recycling Information:

Empty plastic ballpoint and felt-tip pens can be placed in your recycling cart along with other rigid plastics.

Empty mechanical pencils that are entirely plastic in construction can also be recycled with rigid plastics.

Wood pencils cannot be recycled, but can be composted once the eraser and  metal binding on the end of the pencil is removed. Wood pencil shavings  can also be composted.

Metal pens and mechanical pencils can be recycled with scrap metal once they are empty.
